The atmosphere is described as warm and inviting, offering a charming setting that stands out from the typical tourist routes. We had the best experience here. The server was very helpful with the menu ( helping us English folk translate it) The wood fired duck and tuna were unbelievable. The fries were also amazing! I would 100% recommend coming here. Make sure you make a reservation beforehand! Google hours are not correct so call ahead if you can, to make that reservation.
Just off the main street and still noticeably aside from the tourist flow is this gem of a restaurant. While quite packed and with somewhat questionable toilet facilities, Le Parvis was one of the best restaurants we ate during our visit to the Loire valley. The grilled meat is a delight and the wine is good; the prices reasonable. The service try their best to speak English and are very friendly when you try your best to speak French. A sincere recommendation.
Went in without a reservation as a solo diner. Had a great experience. The ribeye (entrecote) was cooked perfectly.
We had one of our very best French meals here in Amboise. Tucked down a little side street, I didn't have this on my radar, but I'm so glad my husband found it. I had the most divine homemade coq au vin (chicken in red wine sauce with carrots, potatoes and mushrooms). My husband and daughter both had great flank steak and frites (fries) and loved that dish, too. For starters, we had the shrimp, salmon ceviche and fois gras and all were so delicious. And the desserts - wow! The chocolate mousse is plenty for 3 people, but we all got our own desserts (oh my!). I got the little mini sampler and fell in love with their tiramisu and cream brulee, too. Such a delightful meal from start to finish and with truly great prices (just under 33 euro for prix fixe 3-course menu). Do not miss this place!
Great meat, amazingly cooked and superb atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend if in Amboise as just off the main square.
A wonderfully cozy place for a good meal while here in Amboise. Our service was wonderful and helpful, when we had questions our server had someone that could speak English come and help. Our meal was very good and some the best steak fries we have had in some time. I would suggest calling for reservations or coming in early to get a table
We were ultra lucky to find a table free and the welcoming was really nice. It is really clear that they focus on the origin of the products and their freshness and thats is well reflected in the list of producteurs and in the menu. The meat was a dream... Living in Paris is hard to find resteurants that use proper BBQ and wood to cook, so I fell in love with the smooking and my flank steak, commonly hard to cook, was melting in my mouth. The Coq au vin pot was really good and we finished the bread to clean out all the sauce. The entree was nice. The salmon was top quality and the foi gras was a butter. The dessert was really complementing everything. Regarding the wine, the sanglier rouge (pinot noir) was perfect to wash out the mouth. All to this, offering good prices and 2 menu of 21 euro (plat dessert/entree) or 26 euro (entree, plat, dessert). 100% book it. PS. Good music choice guys. We were almost dancing while eating.
Fun place, great food, many of us had the prawns with the pesto, I had the surf and turf with duck, foie gras and salmon, and we even tasted the escargot casserole. Then most of us had the steak, I had the one with the blue cheese siding, delicious. They had goat cheese, mustard and other choices. Finally I had the apple dessert. The waitress was GREAT, considering we were so many. Cozy place, we had a great time.
